Mechanism of Action

Targeting a Critical Nutrient Transport Dependency in Cancer

MTX-101 is a first-in-class, orally bioavailable small-molecule inhibitor designed to selectively block a tumor-associated nutrient transport pathway that is upregulated in metabolically reprogrammed cancers.

Cancer cells frequently overexpress specific membrane transporters to support increased anabolic demand, redox balance, and rapid proliferation. MTX-101 disrupts this metabolic advantage at its point of entry—limiting nutrient influx and collapsing downstream metabolic signaling required for tumor growth and survival.
